Christopher Bean – Director

Christopher Bean has always had a keen interest in property development, a passion that started in his early twenties when he began buying units off-the-plan. Christopher loves the cut and thrust of property and has worked in the industry for over 23 years. He started County Property Group in 1991 with Gary as a boutique development company, focused on the vertical integration of all facets of property development: rezoning, financing, planning, construction, marketing and legal.

Christopher is end-results driven and has had many successes in his career, such as being part of a team that grew PlannerWest from a 25-person company to one with 300 employees and a takeover target for GHD. Christopher has also developed over 12 new communities in various parts of Newcastle and Sydney, during his time as a Director of County Property Group.

A lover of country life, Christopher can be found horse-riding, fly fishing or just enjoying the peace and quiet on a weekend. He is also passionate about wine and wine education, in the past producing his own wines under the label ‘Twin Bridges’. Christopher can be contacted at crb@countyproperty.com.au.

Gary McMurray – Director

Gary McMurray has 22 years experience in the development game, negotiating and managing developments in NSW, QLD, VIC and New Zealand. He began his career at GHD-Vogan after university, where he met Christopher Bean. After five years of working together they partnered to launch County Property Group.

Gary is passionate about the ever-changing challenge to deliver the ‘perfect package’ – from organising finance and approvals, to the delivery and sale. In his own words, Gary’s forte is detail, and his ability to structure deals and manage debt/equity facilities sets new standards in the industry. Gary brings a wealth of knowledge about the development approval processes involved at both the local and state government level to his position as Director of County Property Group.

As an avid boatie, when he’s not in the office, you’ll find Gary cruising the beautiful waterways of Pittwater on his beloved Halvorsen cruiser. Gary can be contacted at gjm@countyproperty.com.au.
